On September 28, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting, views were exchanged on various aspects of the existing strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the level of strategic partnership relations between the two countries, and it was emphasized that the continuation of high-level meetings and political dialogue is important in terms of determining new directions of cooperation and raising the quality of the partnership to a new level.
It was pointed out that the dialogue between the leaders of the two countries plays an important role in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
It was noted that such contacts play an important role in discussing the prospects of existing friendly and cooperative relations.
The existence of perspectives for cooperation in various areas of the economy, including trade and investments, as well as the importance of using these opportunities was emphasized.
At the meeting, opinions were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
