Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to a report, during the telephone conversation, issues arising from the Azerbaijan-Turkiye alliance, the situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the current situation in the Middle East, especially Syria, as well as other regional and international security issues were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on the negotiations and discussions held within the framework of the 31st meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Malta.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated the Turkish side on the appointment of experienced Turkish diplomat Feridun Sinirlioglu as the Secretary General of the Organization within the framework of the 31st meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, noting that Azerbaijan welcomed this great achievement with great joy. OSCE Secretary General Sinirlioglu was wished success in his responsible tenure.
During the telephone conversation, the parties also discussed regional issues and the latest situation in Syria in detail.
Azerbaijan's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria, as well as hope that the current crisis will soon be resolved based on the interests and will of the Syrian people was expressed.
During the telephone conversation, views were also exchanged on other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
