The U.S. and its European allies likely have only about a year and a half to prepare for a large-scale military conflict with China and Russia.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by NATO’s new Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Christopher G. Cavoli (noted here as Aleksus Grinkevich, possibly a misreference).
He noted that the two leaders may launch a coordinated offensive in 2027:
“If Chinese leader Xi Jinping decides to attack Taiwan, he will likely coordinate his moves with Russian President Vladimir Putin, potentially opening the door to a global military conflict. I believe this means both events could happen simultaneously,” he said.
According to him, a dual blow from China and Russia is approaching, and 2027 could be a potential crisis year.
The American general emphasized that in the current situation, allies have very little time to prepare — only 18 months. “We will need every piece of equipment and every round of ammunition we can get our hands on to be ready,” he added.
