The actual weather, which has been observed in Azerbaijan from January 17 to 18 morning, has been announced.

Axar.az reports citing National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources that from January 17 to January 18, the weather changed sharply in the country with rainfall, snow and sleet in some places. Precipitation was intensive in some eastern regions. Strong north-west wind in Baku and Absheron peninsula intensified.

Precipitation was 1-26 mm in Lankaran-Astara zone, 5-18 mm in Central-Aran districts, 2-9 mm in Baku and Absheron peninsula, 2-15 mm in the Greater Caucasus, 0-8 mm in Gazakh-Ganja region, 1-4 mm in the Lesser Caucasus and 2-5 mm in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The height of the snow cover was 40 cm in Agdere, 15 cm in Kishchay, Giriz, 11 cm in Altıağac, 10 cm in Kiran and Khinalig, 7 cm in Qakhmugal, 6 cm in Khaltan and Saribash, 5 cm in Shahbu and Gusar, 4 cm in Yardimli, 2 cm in Guba and Maraz, 1 cm in Ismailli, Dashkesen.
