Azerbaijanis living in Istanbul, Turkey, celebrated Novruz.

The event, organized by Istanbul Turkish Society (İSTAD), was held at the Valide Sultan ship on the Istanbul Strait.

Our national dances were performed under the sounds of Azerbaijani folk songs and traditions of Novruz holiday were demonstrated at the festival celebration attended by about 400 people. Also, the donkeys were restored, and the young men dressed in national clothes fought eggs.

Chairman of the Association Safar Garagoyunlu, ISTAD Secretary General Metin Yildirim, President of the European Azerbaijanis Congress Sahil Gasimov and students from Turkey talked about the history and traditions of Novruz holiday. Noting that Novruz is a new day, our compatriots living in all parts of the world say that this day is celebrated with great joy. Prayers were prayed for the blaze of Novruz in Shusha, Karabakh.

At the end, representatives of media representing Azerbaijan in Turkey, as well as the Turkish Report Bureau, thanked for their services in covering the truths of Azerbaijan.
