Next destinations of Azercell’s “Digital World in Regions” project. Azercell has met with local residents in Sumgayit, Ismayilli, Shamakhi, Gabala, Goychay, and Sheki.

Axar.az reports that stepping into the new digital era of its activity under the slogan “Create Your Digital World”, “Azercell Telecom” LLC continues its visits to the regions of the country. This time, aiming to make the latest tendencies of the telecommunication sector more accessible for its customers, the company brought approximately 40 000 people together in Sumgayit, Ismayilli, Shamakhi, Gabala, Goychay, and Sheki. Azercell, which applies the dynamic and changing technologies and set them as a trend, aiming to increase the digital literacy and promote new innovative services of the company, plans to realize this project approximately in 30 cities and districts of the country.

It is worth mentioning that, Azercell, the main choice of the mobile services’ users of the country, demonstrates the accessibility of the services through technical capacities of mobile devices and technological innovations designed with the view to make human life more convenient under its “Digital World in Regions” project. Various programs, contests, intellectual and entertaining games, as well as interactive games are organized in the visited regions within the framework of these project. The contestants received different gifts and presents. Notably, these events were attended by the management and representatives of Sumgayit, Ismayilli, Shamakhi, Gabala, Goychay, and Sheki city executive authorities.

“İmzanı Tanıt” project, which is under the auspices of Azercell, is represented with a special corner at the event. Talented people from our regions have a chance to demonstrate their handiwork here. Notable, this social challenge, which started in early June and gained a huge interest, succeeded to gather everyone confident of their talent and abilities under the hashtag #imzanitanit on social networks, in a short time.

In addition, Azercell’s “Mobile Dental” and “Mobile Eye” clinics, which have provided medical aid to thousands of people during their operation, also have joined the visits to Sheki. On August 13, the company representatives together with the mobile clinics have visited Sheki orphanage school. Approximately 60 children were inspected by the clinics. Azercell also presented school belongings to the children.

It should be noted that “Azercell Telecom” LLC has carried out a set of measures to improve the network with the view to prepare the country for the new era of connectivity. Aiming to provide the residents of all regions with equal technological opportunities and make the latest technological solutions available for them through high-speed internet, the company has strengthened and expanded its 4G network across the country. In the past half-year, Azercell has invested more than 63 million AZN into the development of the telecommunication sector of the country. Currently, about 60 cities and districts of our republic, including Baku and Absheron, are covered with 4G network. During the past half-year, the number of population coverage significantly increased by 86.2%, while the number of geographical coverage boosted by 61.4%. Furthermore, daily LTE data usage increased by 49.6%, while approximately 16% growth was achieved in LTE download and upload speeds
