Iran and Azerbaijan have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of passenger and cargo transportation on highways.

Axar.az reports this was stated by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan.

According to the report, a meeting was held in Tabriz on the transportation of goods and passengers on the highways between Iran and Azerbaijan.

At the end of the meeting, the two countries signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of passenger and cargo transportation on highways.

According to the agreement, the movement of passengers through border checkpoints will be facilitated during the Novruz holiday, the month of Muharram and the increase in the number of trips in the summer.
