Speaker of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov met the visiting delegation led by President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Pedro Agramunt.

Speaker Ogtay Asadov expressed confidence that the visit would contribute to boosting bilateral ties and cooperation between Milli Majlis and PACE.

PACE President hailed active participation of the Azerbaijani delegation at the Organization, noting that his visit aims to get acquainted with the current situation in Azerbaijan and hold discussions on enhancing cooperation.

Following the meeting, members of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE and the guests exchanged views on numerous issues of mutual interest.

Chairman of the Milli Majlis foreign and inter-parliamentary relations Standing Committee, head of Azerbaijan's delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov spoke of the works carried out to bring the Azerbaijani realities to Europe.

Hailing the importance of PACE delegation to Azerbaijan, Samad Seyidov stressed that, Azerbaijan and PACE have always struggled for the same values.
