Azerbaijan has been subjected to occupation and military aggression by the neighboring Republic of Armenia for a long time. During this period of occupation, a policy of ethnic cleansing was carried out against our people, numerous war crimes and crimes against humanity were committed. Finally, as a result of the Patriotic War in 2020 and the anti-terrorist operation in 2023, the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country was fully restored.

Axar.az reports that these ideas were included in the address of President Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the 29th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors held in Baku.

"About 4,000 Azerbaijanis went missing during the occupation. They were tortured and killed by Armenia and buried in mass graves. Currently, Armenia refuses to provide us with information about the further fate of these missing persons, as well as the location of the mass graves where they were buried," the application stated.
