At the invitation of Army General Selchuk Bayraktaroglu, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, Major General Kanan Seyidov, Commander of the Combined Arms Army (SCAA), visited Turkiye and inspected several military facilities.
Axar.az reports that according to press service of Ministry of Defence, during the visit, Major General Seyidov toured the Land Forces Aviation Command and a military unit. The delegation was briefed on the technical and tactical characteristics of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), their application in conventional combat, the organization of combat flights, and bombs designed for UAVs. The delegation also observed UAV operations performing combat tasks in real time from a control station.
The delegation later visited the Turkish Special Forces Command (SFC). They were briefed on the SFC's development history, its completed missions, and the training processes of its cadets. The delegation inspected open and closed simulators used to enhance the professional skills and combat training of special forces personnel. Practical execution of simulated counterterrorism operations employing modern technology and new combat tactics was also demonstrated.
Additionally, the CAA Commander visited the Mountain Commando School and Training Center Command in Isparta. The delegation received a briefing on the command's activities, educational system, and training processes. Various weapons and communication tools used by commandos were showcased, and the commando training process for cadets was demonstrated. The delegation also toured different simulators and training classrooms.
Major General K. Seyidov met with Azerbaijani military personnel studying there and inquired about their training levels.
