Azerbaijan's Minister of Emergency Situations Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich.

Expressing sincere congratulations to the ambassador on his appointment, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov recalled that the rapid and comprehensive development of Azerbaijan-Belarus relations, historically based on the principles of friendship and mutual respect, has been based on the far-sighted policy and mutual trust of the heads of state.

Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov provided the guest with detailed information on the work being done in Azerbaijan in the field of emergency management and spoke about the close cooperation with the relevant authorities of Belarus in this area. He noted that the cooperation agreement signed in October 2006 in Minsk between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus has played a crucial role in establishing and developing relations between the two agencies.

The Minister mentioned that various areas of cooperation in emergency response, including training and education, have been continuously expanding. He also spoke about the successful implementation of the Comprehensive Action Plan for 2025-2027, which was signed during his official visit to Belarus last June.

Expressing gratitude for the cordial meeting, Ambassador Dmitry Pinevich emphasized that the relations between the heads of state, based on mutual trust and respect, are of fundamental importance in deepening relations between the two countries in various directions.

In this context, the Ambassador highlighted the mutual benefits of further expanding cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries in the prevention of emergencies and the elimination of their consequences. He also stated that he would spare no effort in this direction.
