On February 27, the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Mokhtar Sissoco Embaló, together with the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, and the Minister of Defense Industry, Vugar Mustafayev, visited one of the commando military units of the Azerbaijani Army.
Axar.az reports that, first, a solemn welcoming ceremony was held at the military unit accompanied by a guard of honor.
Then, a new simulation tool presented by the Ministry of Defense Industry was inspected in the gym of the military unit, and the sports training of military personnel was monitored.
The guests visited the closed shooting camp, soldiers' dormitory, weapons room, storage room, ideological work and other administrative rooms, as well as the canteen, and got acquainted with the conditions created there.
The activities of military personnel in the mountain commando tower and on the reconnaissance trail were also monitored.
An exhibition of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), weapons, vehicles, and special equipment, as well as other combat vehicles manufactured by the Ministry of Defense Industry, as well as by the RTX and Improtex companies, was displayed in the military section.
Then, the delegation was presented with weapons, ammunition, equipment, and combat equipment in use by the Azerbaijani Army. The Guinea-Bissau delegation was given extensive information about their tactical and technical characteristics and proper use.
At the end, mutual gifts were presented, and commemorative photos were taken.
