Los Angeles police said yesterday that Azerbaijanis were attacked and injured by Armenians during the events in front of the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles two days ago.

It should be noted that after the incident, the Armenian Dashnaks and the Armenian propaganda, in general, tried to cover up their crimes by presenting themselves as victims on all social media platforms, saying that the Azerbaijanis were aggressing against them. From the very first day, the Consulate General insisted on an objective official statement on the events and a clear statement of who was attacked.

In addition, the police said that the Armenian criminals who committed these atrocities will be prosecuted not only on the charge of injury but also on the charge of hatred, which is a more serious offence.

Immediately after the incident, the Consul General contacted the Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, Michel Moore, informed him of the seriousness of the situation and expressed his serious criticism of the police's inability to prevent Armenian violence. He told the Los Angeles Police in advance that he was aware of the protest by our community and assured the Consulate General that the security of the protesters would be fully ensured. Moore repeatedly apologized to the Consul General for the incident, noting that the issue would be seriously investigated and a special investigation team would be set up.

At present, one Armenian has been detained and the investigation is underway to identify and prosecute others. The Consulate General is taking all necessary measures to ensure that the Armenian criminals are identified and punished.
