Donald Trump Jr., son of U.S. President Donald Trump, has canceled his planned visit to Armenia.

Axar.az informs according to Hraparak daily of Armenia, after Samvel Karapetyan’s nephew Narek Karapetyan gave an interview to famous American journalist Tucker Carlson, reports about attacks on the Armenian Apostolic Church by Armenia’s authorities caused an uproar in US conservative circles. After Donald Trump Jr. received confirmation, through his sources, of the authenticity of the facts regarding the attacks on the church, he decided to refuse a visit to Armenia and meetings with representatives of the current government.

"Rеports were circulating that on November 12, the US president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., would visit Armenia. During the visit, the US president’s son was also expected to take part in the so-called prayer breakfast, initiated by [Armenian PM] Nikol Pashinyan and [his wife] Anna Hakobyan, during which Trump Jr.’s meeting with Nikol Pashinyan was also planned,” Hraparak added.
