Putin and Tokayev sign Strategic Partnership Declaration

Russian and Kazakh Presidents Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a Declaration on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries in the Malachite Lobby of the Grand Kremlin Palace.

Axar.az reports that the ceremony noted the active development of bilateral relations between Moscow and Astana in all areas.

During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding supplies of Russian gas to Kazakhstan, including to the northern and eastern regions of the country.

Putin said that the first launch of the rocket carrier under the joint project "Bayterek" is planned by the end of this year. In addition, both countries are also considering the possibility of intensifying cooperation in the field of rare earth metals.

Tokayev emphasized that the signed Declaration on deepening cooperation between the two countries is of historical importance.
