Germany backs using frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine

Frozen Russian assets in Europe should be used to help Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said this at a joint press conference with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides in Berlin.

"We share the assessment that these assets should also be used to further support Ukraine. Three weeks ago, I stated in Brussels at the European Council that we are ready to provide appropriate guarantees," he noted.
