Airbus recalls 6,000 A320s

The “Airbus” company is recalling 6,000 aircraft worldwide from the A320 class due to a software defect detected in the planes.

Axar.az reports that this information was published by the “Spiegel” magazine.

According to the information, specialists warned that strong solar radiation could damage data essential for flight control and thereby affect the stable control of the aircraft.

“Airbus” stated that the software update must be completed before the next flight, and this process may cause the cancellation and delays of a number of flights.

Due to the situation, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency is expected to issue an urgent airworthiness directive in the coming days.

The incident that led to the decision occurred in October. A plane belonging to the “JetBlue” airline had to make an emergency landing in Tampa, USA, due to a malfunction in the flight control system and a sudden loss of altitude. Several passengers were hospitalized during the incident.
