Support for Ukraine has caused serious losses for Greece, especially because the country has lost the ability to receive 1.5 million Russian tourists and to export its goods to Russia.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Speaker of the Greek Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis.
“Greece was on Ukraine’s side from the beginning. This has led to significant economic losses for Greece. Of course, as a disciplined country, we joined the sanctions that Europe imposed on Russia,” he said.
Kaklamanis emphasized that neighboring Turkey, despite being a NATO member, did not follow the example of Greece and Europe.
