Damaged VİRAT tanker heading to Turkiye

The VİRAT tanker, damaged by Ukrainian sea drones in the Black Sea, is being transported to Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that the information was released by Turkiye’s General Directorate of Maritime Affairs.

It was stated that the operation to move the tanker to a safe area began today at 17:45 (18:45 Baku time).

The tanker is expected to arrive in Turkiye around midday on December 1.

It should be noted that explosions occurred last night on the VİRAT and “Kairos” tankers in the Black Sea.
