Eight security personnel lost their lives in an armed stanfoff among Turkish Armed Forces and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Hakkari's Şemdinli district in Turkey's southeast on early Nov.2
2 soldiers, 2 security personnel were killed Thursday after clashes with PKK terrorists who were trying to illegally cross into southeastern Hakkari province Turkey from Iraq.
Axar.az reports citing Turkish media that according to military sources, four PKK terrorists were killed by the security forces in southeastern Hakkari province's Shemdinli district.
The clashes erupted while the terrorists were trying to enter the Derecik border town's rural area from Iraq.
An operation supported from the air is underway in the area.
