At least six PKK terrorists were "neutralized" in Turkey's southern Osmaniye province on Sunday, according to security sources.
Axar.az reports citing DS.
Turkish authorities often use the word "neutralized" in their statements to imply the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media, said security forces spotted a group of PKK terrorists in Amanoslar rural area.
An air-supported operation was conducted in the area and the PKK terrorists were killed, the sources said.
The sources added that weapons and rocket launchers belonging to the terrorists were also seized.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- waged a terror campaign against Turkey for more than 30 years and has been responsible for the death of nearly 40,000 people.
More than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including a number of women and children, have been killed since July 2015 alone when the group resumed its armed campaign against the country.
