"Trump loves the element of surprise, so we’ll entertain him," Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in his interview to Swiss Basler Zeutung.

Axar.az reports citing IRNA.

"I will not say that. Trump loves the element of surprise, so we’ll entertain him!" he said commenting on the measures to be taken by Iran in case the US toughens sanctions in oil export.

He also called on the international community to decide whether it is in their interest to 'let the US go through its illegal dictates'.

"Europeans must ask themselves: if they allow this precedent, what will they do if the US demands an end to trade with China?"

According to the Iranian diplomat, Iran also considers it inappropriate to create the INSTEX European mechanism for trading deals in circumvention of the US sanctions, since the country needs foreign investment, first of all, but sanctions hamper the inflow of foreign companies.
