The Azerbaijani leadership is doing a lot for the comprehensive development of tourism, including infrastructure, hospitality, and hosting various events.

Axar.az reports Viacheslav Fetisov, State Duma Deputy and member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party told Report's Russian bureau.

"I am in love with Baku. A very beautiful city, which is hospitable, with its historical flavor. It’s nice to be here, I’m happy to come. Baku becomes one of the main cities of the post-Soviet space. Tourism is progressing on a very large scale, " Fetisov said.

Speaking about sports events held in Azerbaijan, the MP noted that this is the right step to promote the rapid development of tourism: "The country's leadership is also trying to show modern Azerbaijan to the world through sports events such as the First European Games, Formula 1, etc. The infrastructure is modern and fantastic. I believe that this is the right, competent strategy. Wait for a visit, I will come with pleasure. There are already plans of arrival related to the environment. Ecology is a problem and development of tourism depends on it. A country with a good environment always has advantages."

"I believe that the Azerbaijanis are great and the country's leadership adopted the right strategic direction for the development of the tourism industry. Azerbaijan is becoming one of the tourist leaders, " Fetisov concluded.
