A quarantine regime has been declared in the Khan neighborhood of the Chaldiran region of Turkey's Van province and in the village of Yukhari Garakhasili in the Chekerek region of Yozgat province.

Axar.az informs that, the reason is the detection of new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in both settlements. According to another report, 12 police officers in different cities were confirmed to be infected. Infected law enforcement officers worked in close contact with the population.

According to Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, quarantine was imposed in 12 villages and settlements in Turkey on March 27 due to the threat of the spread of the coronavirus.
