The European Union (EU) does not recognize the so-called "presidential and parliamentary" elections in Nagorno-Karabakh.

"In connection with the so-called 'presidential and parliamentary elections' in Nagorno-Karabakh on March 31, 2020, the European Union reiterates that the bloc does not recognize the legal framework and constitution in which these elections took place. cannot harm the outcome of the negotiation process.

The EU strongly supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group and, in particular, the co-chairs to make progress beyond the status quo and to negotiate a comprehensive and lasting peace.
