Unilateral operations in Iraq will not provide security in the region.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Iraqi Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed al-Sahhaf, speaking about Turkey's Operation Panja-Kaplan.

"At the same time, these operations will not contribute to joint efforts in the fight against terrorism. Iraq will seize all options in response to the violation of its sovereignty. After that, we will assess the options for mobilizing the League of Arab States, exerting pressure through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and appealing to the UN Security Council," he said.

It should be noted that the Turkish army is conducting Operation Panja-Kaplan against the PKK in northern Iraq.
