Syria and Iran have signed an agreement on military cooperation.

Axar.az reports this information was spread by Libyan Al Mayadin TV.

The agreement was signed by Syrian Defense Minister Ali Abdullah Ayyub and Iranian Chief of General Staff Mohammad Bagheri.

Under the new agreement, Iran will strengthen Syria's air defence systems.
