During the tensions between Turkey and France, NATO did not want to go to open confrontation with Turkey due to its military-strategic position.

Axar.az reports that an unknown European diplomat told Reuters.

He said NATO's report on French-Turkish tensions was ready, but would not be made public because it was "sensitive".

"Due to Turkey's strategic position, the alliance did not want to face Ankara."

It should be noted that the official Paris claimed that Turkey violated the UN embargo on Libya and officially filed a complaint to the alliance. Official Ankara denied the allegations.

Following this issue, mutual accusations are voiced between France and Turkey at the official level.
