Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and the President Hassan Rouhani are expected to make their speeches at the annual United Nations General Assembly.

Axar.az reports that, the statement came from Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman.

"The Foreign Minister is scheduled to make a speech virtually at United Nations General Assembly on Monday night, and the President would make his speech on Tuesday" Saed Khatibzadeh.

"Iran's position, views and response to current events would be the content of President and Foreign Minister's speeches in the UN General Assembly," he added.

The official also noted Zarif's visit to Europe was canceled due to logistic issues and the ongoing pandemic.

"Zarif's trip to Africa and Europe is being planned, I am not sure if the trip would be happening early due to logistic issues and Coronavirus protocol," he said.

Zarif was set to meet with his German, British and French counterparts on Monday, but the meetings were postponed until further notice.
