Japan believes that reforms should be carried out in the UN Security Council.
Axar.az reports that the statement came from Japanese Foreign Minister Tosimitsu Motegi.
“For the sake of strengthening the UN, we cannot postpone the reform of the Security Council. Unfortunately, the system created 75 years ago can not fully fulfill the goals set before it. I am sure that the ability and intention to take responsibility is extended to the Security Council. Only then there will be an effective body in the Security Council. Japan, as a permanent member of the Security Council, is ready to fully fulfill these obligations,” he said.
