The likelihood of a meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States is still very high, despite the new sanctions.

Axar.az reports this statement was made by a permanent member of the club "Valday" Peter Dutkevich.

According to him, US foreign policy is so-called comparative, ie Washington's actions in one area do not affect its steps in another:

"But I think such a meeting could be very useful. It will allow Putin to use the Western media as a tool to clarify Russia's position. I am sure it will be an unprecedented opportunity for Russia."

The United States has decided to expel 10 Russian diplomats. Immediately afterwards, Russia requested a list of 10 US diplomats to be expelled from the country and recommended that the US ambassador goes to his country for consultations. At the same time, it banned eight US officials from entering Russia.
