Crimea's water problem is really a tool to put pressure on Russia to liberate the occupied territories.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.

According to him, if Kyiv provides water to the island, it will in fact recognize Russia's sovereignty there.

Klimkin compared this situation to the unification of the Baltic republics with the USSR in 1939-1940.

It should be noted that the Crimean population is currently experiencing a serious problem with drinking water.
