The talks in Yerevan took place in an atmosphere of sincerity and mutual trust.
Axar.az reports that the statement came from Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan after a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Yerevan today.
He said bilateral relations and multilateral cooperation were discussed during the meeting. Ayvazyan said they expect Russia to take concrete steps to increase military-technical cooperation, as well as trade turnover.
The Minister also touched upon the issue of intensification of the negotiation process on Karabakh.
"The role of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh was also touched upon. We appreciate Russia's efforts. The issue of the return of prisoners to their homeland is also very important.
Ayvazyan noted that Yerevan is interested in strengthening the mediation mission of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs. He also thanked Russia for its efforts to return Armenians to Karabakh.
