Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is in prison in Georgia, is recommended to be hospitalized.
Axar.az reports that one of the doctors who visited him, Zurab Pagava, told journalists.
According to him, although the current condition of the politician is not a cause for concern, it is recommended to place him in a clinic to prevent future complications:
"There is no need for emergency hospitalization. However, it is recommended that Mikheil Saakashvili's health be kept under medical supervision. In his condition, serious complications may occur in the coming hours and days."
Saakashvili was detained in Tbilisi on October 1. The former head of state, detained in Rustavi Prison No. 12, has been on a hunger strike for 19 days. On October 13, a group of doctors of various profiles was formed to assess his health.
