Le Figaro correspondent Nicolas Barot has published a report on NATO exercises in the Baltic states, where the alliance is strengthening its military presence in preparation for a conflict with Russia.
Axar.az reports that French and British tanks, armored vehicles, infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank missiles and missiles are taking part in the military exercises.
According to the report, about a thousand soldiers from France and Britain have been stationed in Estonia. Moreover, the United Kingdom is particularly active in this process. The Danes will also join the training in March.
"Part of the exercises are being held in Latvia: NATO troops are in the Adazi military town. The Baltic states are working together on defense.
It is also possible to conduct tank training with ammunition in this large area, but there are no such natural landfills in Europe.
The purpose of the maneuvers in the Baltic states is to test the "ability of NATO forces to work together." At the same time, there are many challenges: from the language barrier to the different levels of training of the armed forces of member countries.
Under the command of the Canadians, the forces of ten countries are stationed in Latvia, and the servicemen of seven countries, along with Germany, are stationed in Lithuania. The alliance forces in Poland are led by Americans, as well as British, Romanian and Croatian troops, "the report said.
