Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has asked US President Joe Biden not to impose sanctions on Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

Axar.az reports that the Wall Street Journal made such a claim.

According to the publication, Zelensky attributed this to Abramovich's important mediation mission in peace talks with Russia.

The billionaire's spokesman also said that Abramovich was doing his best to restore peace.

The publication also reminded that Abramovich was not announced, although there were US sanctions, because the White House asked the Ministry of Finance to temporarily suspend sanctions against the Russian billionaire.
