Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had a telephone conversation.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Turkish government.

It was noted that the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war and issues related to the negotiation process were discussed during the conversation.

During the meeting, President Erdogan said that the evacuation of the wounded and civilians should be ensured in Mariupol, where the situation is getting worse day by day.

Stating that they are ready to provide all possible assistance and support, including mediation, Erdogan said they are in principle positive about ensuring Ukraine's security.
