German Ambassador to Turkey Jurgen Scholz has been summoned to the country's Foreign Ministry.

"After the German Foreign Ministry summoned our ambassador to Berlin today in connection with Kavala's case, German Ambassador to Ankara Jürgen Scholz was summoned to the Foreign Ministry by Deputy Foreign Minister and EU Affairs Director Farouk Kaymagci.

The summoning of a Turkish diplomat to the German Foreign Ministry was condemned. He was told that no body, body or country could challenge the verdict of an independent Turkish court.
