Wallace appeals to Johnson: Increase the defense budget

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has asked Prime Minister Boris Johnson to increase military spending and defense budgets until 2028.

Axar.az informs this was reported by the Daily Mail.

Wallace has asked for an additional 10 billion pounds ($ 12.2 billion) a year for military spending.

According to the publication, in his address to the Prime Minister, Wallace spoke about the significant shortcomings of the UK's defense capabilities, including the lack of UAVs, pilots, and servicemen on nuclear submarines.

Wallace and new chief of staff Patrick Sanders are also expected to speak today about the need to strengthen the country's armed forces.
