Axar.az reports citing Teletrader that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Ria Novosti and Russia 24 on Thursday in an interview

Lavrov underlined that Moscow's goal is to push the Ukrainian armed forces "to a distance safe for the territory of the Russian Federation." The foreign minister explained that the more long-range weapons are sent to Kyiv, the farther the military troops "will need to be moved away."

Lavrov accused the Western side of wanting to "solve the 'Russian question'" by inflicting "such a defeat on Russia that it cannot recover for decades."
