Latvian former PM to attend 5th Global Baku forum

Latvia's former prime minister Laimdota Straujuma will participate in the 5th Global Baku Forum. The announcement came as she met with chairman of Azerbaijan`s State Committee on Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov, former Latvian President, co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center Vaira Vike-Freiberga and Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center Ismail Serageldin.

They discussed the preparations for the Global Baku Forum, as well as the activities of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

Straujuma hailed the center`s role in studying globalization, democratic institutions, global economic situation and technological revolution.
