Iran's permanent representative to the UN, Amir Said Iravani, asked the Security Council to hold an urgent meeting to discuss Israel's attacks on Lebanon and the entire region.

Axar.az reports that according to information, Emir Said Iravani sent a letter to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Security Council Chairman Samuel Jbogar.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns these cowardly acts of aggression. Considering the grave consequences of these actions for regional and international peace and security, Iran requests the Security Council to strongly condemn the Israeli regime," the letter stated.
