A poster in Armenian held by one of the participants in the ongoing protests in Turkiye titled "Support for the Kurds" and "Kurds Are Oppressed" has sparked serious debate.

Axar.az reports that the protests primarily feature the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" ("Woman, Life, Freedom"), associated with Abdullah Ocalan, the founder of the PKK terrorist organization, who has been imprisoned in Turkiye for 20 years.

However, in a protest held a few days ago, one participant wrote these words in Armenian on a poster and shared it on social media, which was met with controversy. This was perceived as support from the Armenian community in Turkiye for separatist views.

The poster was heavily criticized in the Armenian segment of social media.

It’s also worth noting that the famous "eco-activist" Greta Thunberg visited Turkiye's eastern provinces a few days ago and referred to the region as "Kurdistan." Her support for separatists and her statements led to significant protests in Turkiye.
