Our priority is to ensure stability in Syria and prevent the dominance of ISIS and the PKK.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at a press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Touching on the events in Gaza, the Foreign Minister noted that they have agreed with the U.S. to achieve a ceasefire in the region as soon as possible:

"Both the U.S. and Turkiye, together with other partners, are working intensively to achieve a ceasefire in the region. Unfortunately, violence continues in the region. Israel continues to fire on civilians. We discussed what actions we can take to stop this situation as soon as possible."
