U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken asked Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani during a meeting in Baghdad to prevent the transfer of weapons and equipment from Iran to Syria through Iraqi territory.

Axar.az reports this information, citing Bloomberg.

It was noted that Blinken expressed concerns about the possible use of these weapons by Iran-backed groups in Syria, stating that their activities could worsen the unstable situation in the country.

The Secretary of State also remarked that Iran has been weakened as a result of its conflict with Israel.

It should be noted that Blinken made an unannounced visit to Iraq from Turkiye.
