Pezeshkian and Erdogan expected to discuss Syria at D8

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will travel to Egypt on December 19 to attend the D8 summit.

Axar.az reports this information, citing a source in "Middle East News."

It is expected that Pezeshkian will hold bilateral meetings within the framework of the summit of developing countries.

It has also been reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Egypt on December 19. Both leaders are expected to meet during the summit to discuss developments in Syria.

For context, The D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, also known as Developing-8, is an organisation for development co-operation among Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkiye.
