The allegations that Turkiye did not support the joint declaration prepared by the Hague court against Israel after the meeting held in Bogota on July 15-16, 2025, are baseless and disinformation.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a statement by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"As anyone with experience and knowledge knows, decisions taken at international meetings and responses to joint declarations often occur after a certain time frame. Countries can provide their opinions on the joint declaration prepared at the end of the Bogota meeting until September 20, 2025. Currently, only 12 of the 30 countries participating in the meeting have expressed their views on the declaration. Some of the issues included in the joint declaration published at the end of the meeting require inter-agency coordination due to Turkiye's international legal obligations. In this context, all relevant institutions and organizations should complete the necessary preparations before participating in the joint declaration. Almost all of the measures mentioned in the joint declaration are already being implemented by Turkiye. Turkiye will continue to strongly support all initiatives that protect the rights of the Palestinians, as it has done before," the statement said.
