Prince Harry‘s fiancee breaks from royal tradition -

This is the powerful moment that Meghan Markle broke from royal custom to hug a charity worker. Members of the royal family do not usually share hugs with members of the public, but Prince Harry‘s fiancee could not help herself in Edinburgh.

Axar.az reports citing metro.co.uk.

Onlookers described how she ‘shared a special moment’ with Alice Thompson, the co-founder of homeless charity Social Bite. According to journalist Omid Scobie, who watched the scene play out, Ms Thompson told Ms Markle that she was inspired by a speech the activist gave in 2015. In the speech at the UN Women conference, the former Suits actress spoke about female empowerment and feminism.

Ms Markle was reportedly so touched by Ms Thompson’s words that the pair shared a hug outside the Social Bite centre. When university student Phoebe Libbish tweeted a photo of the hug, saying that she loved the picture, Ms Thompson replied: ‘Safe to say I love it too.’

As well as meeting crowds of wedding well-wishers in the streets of the Scottish capital, Harry and Meghan dropped in to Social Bite to witness the work the charity does. During the visit, Ms Markle talked about how she used to volunteer at a soup kitchen in Los Angeles when she was a teenager.
