A source in the Syrian military has specified that a stringer working for RT Arabic broadcaster had died as result of an ISIS anti-tank missile attack.

Khaled Alkhateb, a journalist working for the RT Arabic who died in Syria, was killed in an anti-tank missile attack carried out by militants from the ISIS (outlawed in Russia) terrorist group near a recently liberated settlement, a source in the Syrian Defense Ministry told on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, the RT broadcaster reported that Alkhateb had been killed during a rocket fire carried out by ISIS in Syria's western province of Homs. A representative in the Syrian Information Ministry confirmed the death of Alkhateb, adding that the ISIS attack also injured a cameraman working for the RT.
"The correspondent of the RT Arabic died and the cameraman was injured when an anti-tank missile landed near a settlement recently liberated from ISIS in Syria's Homs province," the source in the defense ministry said.
According to Alkhateb's social media accounts, he was born in 1992 and started working for the RT Arabic on June 12, 2017.
