The provocations committed by the Armenian armed forces in the direction of the Tovuz region of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border on July 12 were resolutely prevented by our Armed Forces, and the heroism of our soldiers and officers forced them to retreat with losses.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the head of the State Border Service (SBS), Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev.

He also noted in his speech that today each of our border guards is proud to serve under the Supreme Command of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev, and serves with honour for the inviolability of state borders.
